HELIX Consortium Meeting 2014
Monday, 31 March 2014 14:41The HELIX Consortium Meeting 2014 will take place from 17-19 June in Barcelona, Spain. Fieldwork progress, laboratory analysis and statistical methodology will form key items on the agenda.
On 19th June, Professor Amy Herring, of the Department of Biostatistics at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA), will address in a public lecture statistical methods for high-dimensional exposure data.
Amy H. Herring received her doctorate in biostatistics from Harvard University in 2000. Her research interests and statistical expertise include longitudinal data, missing data methods, latent variables, Bayesian methods, measurement error, and exposure assessment. She is an associate editor of Environmental Health Perspectives and the Journal of the American Statistical Association and has over 150 peer-reviewed publications published or in press in statistical methods and reproductive and environmental epidemiology. In 2012, she won the Mortimer Spiegelman Award from the American Public Health Association for outstanding contributions to public health statistics by a statistician under age 40.
